Summer Harbingers is an explosive, expressive, joyful, energetic painting of poppies and swallows in the corner of a summer meadow. It is 40x40x1.5 inches. The painting shows a bed of red poppies in the foreground in the shade of the tree behind them. The tree is spreading its branches in all directions and gives the painting a dynamism that sums up the feeling of the drama that plays out in summer meadow. Two swallows are adding their own slant to energy that is taking place. The painting style is semi-abstract art-nouveau. The inspiration for it was simply the happiness that I feel in countryside and corners of gardens in England when the sun is out and nature is showing off. It is impossible to capture all the life forms and their activities in the corner of a meadow as there is just too much of it so I have tried, instead, to capture the way it makes me feel. Painted on 3D canvas, white edges, ready to hang and comes with certificate of authenticity.
