Summer Glimpse is a 30x30 inches very colourful oil on canvas of humming birds among wildflowers in art nouveau style. I have only ever seen real humming birds in Antigua on a holiday once and I just love them. As it was the Caribbean, my memories of it have all the vibrancy of bright sunshine and Caribbean colours and that is what I tried to capture here. When I look at it, I can hear the buzzing of the humming bird’s wings and smell the nectar of the plants and flowers that were around them. I am glad to have captured an essence of a lovely day. The edges are white, frame not needed.
