This beautiful oil painting portrays a serene seascape at dusk. The sky is alive with dramatic clouds inpurples, blues and fiery oranges, reflecting the glow of the setting sun. Below, calm waters mirror the colours of the sky, dotted with white sailboats drifting peacefully. In the distance, soft hills in warm pinks and golds frame the horizon, while birds soar through the expansive scen, adding movement and life. It conveys both tranquility and grandeur, capturing natures beauty through shifting light and atmosphere.
The painting was inspired by a stunning sunset view from my studio in Poole, Dorset one evening. What a gift - I couldn’t believe the colours!
