This watercolor continues my series exploring nature as a place of calm, balance, and quiet reflection.
It was inspired by the warmth of summer, lush tropical foliage, and the way sunlight filters through large leaves. The Bird of Paradise featured in this painting grows in my personal plant collection. I work exclusively from my own reference photographs, created through direct observation of plants, so each watercolor begins with a real encounter with its subject.
Through watercolor, I wanted to capture the feeling of being surrounded by warm air, gentle light, and the peaceful stillness of a summer garden.
My work is a unique and original handmade piece.
