Original artwork description:

When I think Yogurt, I think Yoplait. It's French for Yogurt according to the slogan in Australia. Maybe because it originated in France. Considering recent events in France, not so long ago, I wanted to make a comment on how, when such things happen, the World reacts. If the Yoplait Yogurt represents France, then nothing much represents Australia in the same way as Vegemite. Here they are side by side. Together. United. In grief. In support.

There is no answer that justifies such atrocities. When they occur people from all over the world are effected. Here at Artfinder, knowingly or not, we have connected thru art and become a part of a sharing of ideas and artworks. We talk, we paint, we laugh, we disagree, we agree, we challenge and support. From all over the world. Different languages, backgrounds and current lives. It doesn't matter we how old we are, what religon, what gender. We are here creating art. Each a small peace of positivity as much for ourselves as for others. Thats what we do. We do it anyway, but there's something special when it has a communal purpose. Even if it's just to have some fun.

"Yogurt Culture", inspired by a joke made by Louise Pirrotta about yogurt being the only culture in her home area. "If you want culture buy some yogurt". It prompted a discussion and then a challenge for Artfinder artist's, lead by Boris Novak to create a work so we could all have some fun and enjoy the different interpretations we would all create.

A painting featuring some blend work with impasto areas, created wet in wet. Shipping may be delayed depending on drying time.

Message for freight quote if outside Australia. Unfortunately shipping from Australia to destinations such as the UK or U.S.A. can be expensive. The shipping tables are a guide so where possible messaging me if interested helps provide a clearer estimate. In some cases the price of the artwork may be lower than the shipping, this is done by me to keep the overall price as reasonable as possible.

Shipping charges cover my costs of properly packaging the artwork, materials used, tracking, insurance is all covered. In the event that freight charges are less than paid, i will arrange a reimbursement, all duty fees or addition taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

Materials used:

Old holland oil paint on sealed mdf board mounted to floating frame painted in flat white enamel
