Strawberries is a hyprerrealist oil painting on canvas, measuring 50 x 50 cm (approx 20 x 20 inches).

The painting, of a white bowl filled with fresh strawberries, is a continuation of a new series of Still Life paintings by realist artist Christopher Witchall.

Witchall combines 21st century technology of Hi-Resolution digital imaging, with centuries old painting techniques, including a grisaille under painting and building up depth of colour by layering very thin transparent oil paint, in a technique called glazing.
The resulting painting has a high degree of realism, within a stripped back, modern feel composition.

Strawberries is signed on the back and supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and is sold unframed.
