"Stormcatcher" - Original Abstract PMS Acrylic/Oil Hybrid Painting - 16 x 20 inches (2018) Original Acrylic Painting by Preston M. Smith (PMS)

This piece is a completely unique and original abstract acrylic/oil hybrid painting on canvas. It is an exercise in fluid painting and combines an accent of an oil painting technique I am developing. It is the first of its kind. This piece is stunning in its soft, fluid movement and glows with brilliant tones of fluorescent orange, pinks and turquoise, juxtaposed by a vibrant and textured pop of purple oil paint that seems to envelop a corner of the canvas. The painting has a deep and thought-provoking quality, alluring with the feel of some sort of stormy, tempestuous or creative force. It is a piece of energetic movement, vibrant color and a completely unique style. It is intriguing to look at from all angles. It is the 148th in my series of abstract acrylic works.

Note: This painting is painted on canvas and does not come framed, however the painting continues on the edges of the canvas and therefore framing is not necessary or recommended. It is hang ready. Painting in pictures might not be perfectly to scale.
