I painted this still life in the midst of quarantine due to the pandemic in May, the lilacs were just in bloom, and I have long wanted to paint a still life with lilacs. On the street, everything wakes up, comes to life from winter, renews itself, what a wonderful smell of lilac makes your head spin. Lilac in a standing vase stylized as antiquity, a variety of red shades, whether it be an apple or a broken pomegranate, draperies. Shells raised from the seabed, all this immerses us in the world of ancient myths and legends.
