Still life with Azalea (2010) Original Oil Painting by Ruth Cowell

Having been given an azalea as a present I decided to capture the shape of the plant and the bright pink of the flowers in a painting. The plant is sitting in a Clarice Cliff bowl with a yellow background setting off the deep pink of the azalea. The orange of the three clementines is echoed in the pattern on the yellow behind the plant.
Painted in artists quality oil paint.
All four sides are painted therefore no need to frame.
Fixed with Drings and cord on the back.
