- Still Life with a Golden Spoon
Original artwork description
In this still life, I was focusing on the effects of movement, vibration and fluidity of a "still objects". This time I chose a big bizarre vase with a complex curve forme, a goldish spoon, lemons and cottons flowers. I also payed a special attention for a shimmering perl-silver drapery on the foreground. The Color harmony of the picture is built on the counteracting of warm yellow, golden hues and cold pearl tones.
The painting made on a special Canson paper intended for oil painting using only high quality paints (Van Gogh, Schmincke). Painting covered vith varnish and ready for exposition.
Before placing the picture in the frame, it is necessary to put thick cardboard on the back side of the paper. Glazing is optional, as the varnish protects the surface from moisture and dust.
