- Still lfe with yellow narcissus
Original artwork description
This painting is one of the series impressionistic flower pieces I made during "stayathome" period. It was a very productive period and I tried my best to improve my technique in more bold and free manner, close to the expressionistic field. Its a kind of challege for me as I prefer a thoughtful and gentle approach in painting, but at the same time I feel its the right way to find deeper and complex methods of artistic expression. In this painting I captured a bouquet of yellow narcissus.
Despite the obviously pacified subject, the mood of the picture cannot be called calm. Using contrast colors and bold textural strokes, I tried to fill the space of the canvas with vibration, energy, and a particular atmosphere. The refined beauty of flowers and the transience of flowering are fraught with some inexpressible sadness. With a brush, I would like to involve the viewer in admiring their fleeting beauty.
