Original artwork description:

This is one of my local walks by a river with stepping stones, set in a beautiful, not often visited, nature reserve in the west of France . Across from the river sits an old stone barn for cattle , nestled close to an ancient oak tree.

It is painted in an impressionist manner on canvasboard (canvas attached to board), and left for a year to dry before being varnished.

Materials used:

Oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois)
