Original artwork description:

'Steel Mallet is an original oil painting on panel. I was originally influenced to do these small works after seeing a Joaquin Sorolla museum show where huge walls were covered with hundreds of his small studies.

I paint alla prima, meaning in one sitting, and from life. All my work is done using professional and archival paints on archival canvas or linen.

I believe everyone should be able to have and enjoy original art, so as a daily(ish) painter I offer these smaller works for sale here and during my studio shows.

The painting will fit in to a standard frame. If you would like framing suggestions email me. I'd be happy to help.

My work has been seen in commercials and on television and is collected both in the United States and abroad. I teach classes, workshops, and privately, and I often write about my work or about art in general.

To learn more about me, read my blogs, or follow me on Instagram or YouTube do a web search for etuckerart or Elizabeth B. Tucker.

What Collectors Say:
* People have described my work as soothing and calming to the soul, elegant, and thoughtful.
* The painting is even more beautiful than the small photo can convey.
* Lyrical and beautiful painting. Lizz provided framing advice and delivered ASAP

And I'm fortunate to have won several awards.

Materials used:
