Original artwork description
This artwork depicts a state of despair, yet with a glimmer of hope. In the painting, we see a figure lying down, seemingly with folded arms across the chest, as if ready to give up or drained of strength. The faces present in the painting convey the thoughts that have overwhelmed the person's mind. Sometimes, it feels like thoughts and reality weigh heavily, and we are ready to surrender because we feel depleted. However, there is always a sense in the soul that hope warms our hearts.
In the background, amidst the blue and cold trees, we see a star, a small beam, a glimmer that occupies a place in our hearts. Just when it seems like the end, when the only option appears to be accepting hopelessness, warmth emerges, and hope, which gives us strength, arises.
The painting is framed, with a small chip on the glass, though not visible. This frame was purchased at a flea market in Odessa, and its uniqueness adds to its charm.
The artwork is created with dry pastels, fixed with varnish.
