This piece is inspired by Astraea, the virgin goddess of justice, innocence, and the stars, remembered as the last immortal to live among humans during the Golden Age. When humanity grew corrupt, she left Earth in sorrow and ascended to the heavens, becoming the constellation Virgo.

This painting is finished with metallic oil paint in silver and gold and a smattering of star sequins for a subtle sparkle.

How it's made

Created using a classical technique: a refined underpainting sets the structure, then layers of luminous glaze build colour and atmosphere. Light moves through each transparent layer, giving the artwork its soft radiance and timeless glow; the kind of depth achieved through slow, deliberate craftsmanship.
