On the most perfect of days on a distant island, where the only sounds are the birds singing and the waves gently lapping at the shore, you can let your mind drift away.

Made on a small beach on the island of Orkney off the north east coast of Scotland, this is a once in a lifetime image. I used a long exposure to enhance the softness of this beautiful scene as the sun rose over the waves. In a place like this, you truly feel as if you can see the stairway to heaven.

Printed on beautiful fine art aquarelle paper with a texture like watercolour paper.
