Artwork description
A reduction linocut inspired by a wonderful view of St Paul's Cathedral, partially obscured by a modern glass structure and autumn trees.
I printed this work in four different colourways. This version has a mauve sky that fades to pale lemon, a warm terracotta tone to the building and highlights of deep red and blue/green on the leaves of the trees.
A reduction linoprint is a relief print formed with layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block of lino. This is one of a small edition of prints, all of which are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original.
This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. Each individual print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, conservation mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit into a 16 x 12 inch frame.
This artwork will be packaged in a sturdy cardboard bookwrap.
