Bright heavily textured painting inspired by my recent Travels around the Andaluthia region in Southern Spain. At this time of year the lemon trees are heavy with huge lemons. I hope this painting captures the sun and the fantastic smells of the Costa Tropical which will stay with you all year round and sustain you through those long winter days.
Initialled on the front and signed on the back.
Created with palette knife and brush on a professional quality 'M&W ' canvas. Painted blue on the sides so you may choose not to frame. However I believe that the painting would benefit from framing and have shown an example in the images.
Incorporates my characteristic use of reflective paints to capture the light. This painting is a showcase for sumptuous 'Golden' brand American professional paints which I have become addicted to using. I have incorporated phthalo blue, iridescent gold, iridescent copper, iridescent bronze, iridescent pearl, phthalo green, ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow and the extra special interference blue and interference gold which catch the light in different ways ( but are eye wateringly expensive !). I have mixed the yellow with 'Golden' coarse pumice gel to create a heavy 3D quality that I hope I have captured in the photographs.
Supplied with a certificate of authenticity and will be corded and ready to hang.
