In this piece, I set out to capture the gentle awakening of spring in the Carpathians — that fleeting moment when nature stirs in quiet light and breathes with promise. A meandering mountain stream cuts through the scene like a silvery thread, embodying renewal, purity, and the tranquil rhythm of the season.

The landscape is cloaked in rich, vibrant greens, while distant indigo mountains rise like silent sentinels beyond the trees. I used bold, textured impasto, applied directly with my fingers, to convey the pulse of the land — from the luminous dance of water to the raw vitality of blossoming earth.

This work is an invitation to pause and immerse yourself in the meditative stillness of nature — to feel the flow of time as gentle and steady as a spring stream, carrying with it the quiet joy of new beginnings.
