Spring lake
Hidden,
Beautiful,
Peaceful,
Magical,
Ancient.

Words and expression of finding a new lake in early Spring.
Original impressionist watercolour on Fabriano cold pressed watercolour paper 300gsm 140lb.
I created a YouTube video of my new discovery in the historical area of Penselwood just stepping into the county of Somerset.
The perfect lake with reflections of winter trees, conifers and reeds. The changing colours from Winter into Spring.
I have signed the painting on the front and back of artwork.
Certificate of authenticity.
I used a wet on wet technique dropping and releasing the pigments to create the shapes of the trees. I etched out the paint for the reeds in the background and the challenging bit was to reflect the trees into the water.

Materials used:

Cold pressed Fabriano watercolour paper 300gsm 140lb, filbert brush, sable hair brush, Windsor and newton watercolours,
