The rolling grassy landscape goes to the edge of the rocks which meet the calm sea. The wild flowers integrate with the land and the sea, giving a sense of harmony in the painting. I was inspired by visiting this part of Cornwall - the south west where the sea can be a beautiful colour and the coastline is very dramatic.
