12" x 24" | Original oil and pencil on deep-edge canvas

There's a softening that comes when something far bigger than you reminds you how to let go.
I felt it standing in front of a glacier in Patagonia. That exhale, that surrender, the moment when all the noise drops away and you simply melt into the quiet.
Built in slow oil layers, brush and palette knife working into each other, pencil marks moving gently across. The cobalt rises and breaks open against the white, like ice catching light, like breath given back to the air. Small flecks of ochre, the colour of earth beneath the ice.
A feeling more than a place, though it began with one. That tender opening that happens when you stop holding back and let yourself be exactly as you are.
The second half of a diptych. Available on its own or alongside its partner, "South of Silence I". Together they hum in conversation. Apart, each holds its own quiet.
Your painting is signed on the back, comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, and is carefully wrapped and insured for safe delivery.
