Original artwork description:

Bright abstract paintings forming one image. Inspired by my experience of the fantastic 'Songkran' water festival in Thailand. These paintings have been created experimenting with recently available Pebeo oil based 'Prisme' fantasy luminescent paints, together with acrylic paints which is ideally suited for the painting theme. High gloss finish. I hope that I have captured the fun and energy of this happy event across Thailand.

The Songkran Festival is a national holiday in Thailand. It marks the beginning of the Thai New Year. The word Songkran is derived from the Sanskrit work 'samkranti', which means astrological passage. It is a traditional Buddhist festival, and it is usually celebrated between 13 and 16 April each year.

Deep box canvas painted grey on the sides, so you may not wish to frame but may benefit from framing to your choice. Each painting is corded and ready to hang and is supplied with a signed certificate of authenticity, initialled on the front and signed on the back.

Offered for sale as a group of two paintings. Each painting is 50 cm high and 50 cm wide forming one image 50cm high and 100 cm wide. Can be spaced or separated to suit.

Materials used:

mixed media
