Artwork description:

Beneath the shifting veil of autumn mist, the northern isles of Scotland sing in a palette of soft turquoise, teal, and ochre—hues gently subdued by the ever-present embrace of rain and cloud. Here, the land and sky dissolve into one another, their boundaries blurred, leaving only the faintest memory of rolling hills and distant shores. From the wild clifftops of Skye, the small islands of Rona and Raasay emerge as spectral silhouettes, their forms softened by the hush of weather and time. In this painting, the landscape is not rendered in sharp detail, but in the lingering impression of color and light—a fleeting melody echoing across water and stone, capturing the quiet poetry of the Hebrides as autumn breathes its gentle song.

A Passion for Printing

Each print is crafted by my own hand, the result of years spent perfecting the art of printmaking and curating the finest materials. Collectors often remark that my images possess the richness and depth of a painting—thanks to the luminous colours, velvety blacks, and tactile surfaces I choose.

This edition is printed on Canson Infinity Arches Aquarelle Fine Art Paper, a beautifully textured, archival paper with the look and feel of traditional watercolour. Canson, with over 450 years of heritage, has supplied paper to artists and visionaries from Voltaire to Picasso, and remains committed to sustainable, eco-friendly practices.

If you have a preference for a particular paper or canvas, I am always happy to accommodate special requests.
