The island of Rona, off the coast of Skye, has always held a quiet mystery for me. Standing on the cliff tops of Skye, watching its rolling hills rise and fall in rhythmic repetition, I feel a deep connection to this ancient, untouched landscape. This piece is my modern interpretation of that view—where the land and sea seem to merge in a dreamlike harmony.

Using a palette of deep teal, indigo, and soft violet, I aimed to capture the serene beauty and rugged solidity of this remote island. Its isolation and raw beauty make it a place of contemplation, where echoes of history linger in the wind. The added texture, reminiscent of fine linen, enhances the depth of the scene, giving it a timeless, tactile quality.

This piece is printed on premium Canson Aquarelle paper, renowned for its exceptional quality. The paper's delicate watercolour texture and bright white surface enhance the vibrancy and detail of the artwork, resulting in a truly stunning print. The image is produced at a size of 30 x 30 inches, accompanied by a 3-inch white border. The border will feature the signature, edition number, and title, elegantly positioned just below the image.
