A large oil painting based on my local canal, the Grand Western Canal in Tiverton. I particularly love this place in early summer where the greens are particularly intense and a walk in this beautiful place fills you with positivity. I've worked on this large piece over a number of days building up colour and texture. The edges are painted Paynes grey and it is ready to hang.
