"Sketch from Rue Masséna" captures the vivid elegance of one of Nice’s most iconic streets. This original ink and watercolor sketch was painted on location in the south of France, portraying a striking red-domed building and the warm façades typical of Mediterranean architecture. The arched windows, soft shadows, and terraced café spaces evoke the charm and rhythm of daily life on the Côte d’Azur.

Created during my trip to France in 2021, this sketch conveys the emotions and impressions I experienced while exploring the historic streets of Nice.

Drawn on fine, delicate paper, the piece preserves the honest traces of the artist’s process — soft pencil lines, uneven washes, and gentle smudges that enhance its handmade character. This one-of-a-kind artwork invites the viewer into a fleeting moment, full of color, light, and atmosphere.
