The Sitting Sporting Labrador sculpture was inspired by Boris — a strikingly handsome and athletic young dog who regularly demonstrated at shows alongside his family. He was a joy to sculpt, full of energy yet incredibly well-behaved, even during the more delicate measuring sessions around his face and eyes.

I especially enjoyed hearing stories of the many dogs his family had worked with over the years. Boris is captured here in a calm, attentive pose — as if sitting proudly beside his dad on a day out in the field.

Each Sitting Sporting Labrador bronze bears my signature and a unique edition number. Your casting will be personally approved and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
