The Sitting Cat was commissioned as a companion piece to Jack, my standing cat sculpture. I was deeply honoured to be invited to sculpt Dan Dan following that first commission, and I set out to capture him in a quiet yet expressive pose.

Cats present a unique challenge to sculptors—their graceful musculature is often hidden beneath sleek fur, making it tricky to strike a balance between definition and subtlety. Creating a natural, 'at rest' pose that conveyed Dan Dan’s elegance and character in wax was both demanding and rewarding.

Each bronze sculpture is hand-finished, bears my signature and its unique edition number, and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. Your casting of The Sitting Cat will be personally approved before delivery.
