In a harmony between ink and time, this drawing of a woman’s face emerges, sketched with free and confident lines upon the cover of an old philosophy book, discovered in Cairo and dating back to 1964.
The paper bears the marks of the years — its creases, its faded color, and the tape trying to gather the time slipping away.
Within the braided hair and serene features, the echoes of philosophy pulse, as if ancient thought had borrowed the form of a woman to be retold through the eyes of art.
