SILENCE (2020)Oil painting

2 Artist Reviews

£5,800

Original artwork description

It's a common knowledge that The Grand Canal, so called the “Canalazzo“, is the most important water way of Venice. This “street” was the centre of the trades of the Republic since the Middle Age and still is the bussiest one in Venice, both daytime and night. They say "It never sleeps"... Rather "Never has gone to bed before", as for the first time in centuries it became silent and motionless in Spring 2020, and presented us with an unusual, dramtically deserted, almost surreal view of calm waters of Grand Canal.

From artist's studio. Signed, ready to hang, certificate of authenticity.
