Silence No.1 (2025) Original Mixed-media Painting by Yana Naidenko

40 x 80 x 2cm

£431.72

This work is part of my “Silence” series.
This series of works explores a state of inner stillness found through communion with and contemplation of the Natural world. In this quietude, we begin to see things as they truly are, uncovering their deeper meaning and their true essence.

In this collection, I use natural pigments handcrafted by myself—primarily charcoal. Its texture and tone reflect a profound connection to the earth, symbolizing birth, stability, and our fundamental roots.

The process of creating this series is a meditation in itself. There is no rigid goal; the patterns seem to emerge on their own, and I simply emphasize certain elements. My wish is to convey this sense of silence, peace, and self-reflection through each canvas.

The painting captures a subtle, almost spiritual landscape in layered tones of gray, white, and muted browns, evoking depth, peace, and timelessness.
