How many times have we stood just outside of the light, looking in? Afraid to let our hearts show because of all the times we have been burnt. Afraid someone will see the scars and label us broken or unworthy. But those scars have brought us wisdom. That pain has brought us empathy. We must make the choice. We must take the chance once again and Show Our Hearts. You never know whose life you could save, by being the one who shows kindness, despite your pain.
