Inspired by walks along the English Norfolk coast, Christopher Witchall continues his preoccupation with the light, movement and colours of the ocean, a movement frozen in time between the ancient past and an endless future.
The artist’s unsentimental approach to his subjects combine two great passions - a love of traditional painting techniques and a fascination with the photographic image. The result of this are paintings that are both painterly and highly realistic.
Shorelines is painted on a stretched canvas and sold unframed, but can be hung immediately. It is signed on the front bottom right and supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
