This painting depicts a late summer's day at the North Welsh coast mear whereI live, with a deep blue clear sky and a calm sea and gentle ripples reaching the shore. The 'shimmering' which starts from the horizon has been created with a very small pin sized dots which grow slightly in size towards the foreground. This type of shimmering over the surface of the ocean usually occurs during a bright summer's day with a very deep blue clear sky.
Painted on a high quality and very robust wooden panel.
It measures 30.5 x 30.5 cm with a deep 5.3 cm edge.
Coated with protective UV varnish.
Signed on the back and ready to hang.
