Sherbourne lake , Dorset
On the outskirts of the town,
Lord Digby Estate,
The light was trying to come through the overcast sky,
The Autumn tree colours illuminated in all there beauty,
Enchanting , calming and unique.
Words and inspiration
I come here every year before the gardens and lake closes in November. It always gives me immense pleasure and a special place that I can walk round with my mum , who loves it too.
Original impressionist waterscape on extra rough textured watercolour paper 300 gsm 160lb bockingford. I created this painting as soon as I got back from seeing the scenery , while it was fresh in my mind.
This is a wonderful time to capture those exciting and beautiful colours in late October.
I used a four colour technique in watercolour and expressively , created the harmony plus mood of the place.

Extra rough textured watercolour paper bockingford 300 gsm 160lb, pebeo watercolours, Chinese brushes, sable hair brush,
