Gorse and bracken,
A sense of calm,
As I sat by the beach.
Words and memories of being here in Spring.
Original impressionist watercolour on textured watercolour paper bockingford 300gsm 140lb.
Earlier on in the year I went to Studland many times to see the changing light and the beautiful alluring colours which are so subtle in Spring. I walked all the way to the end which is called Shell bay at Studland peninsula on the coast of Dorset.
I used graduated washes in a three colour technique. All my watercolours are signed on the front and the back of the painting.
Materials used:
Cold pressed watercolour paper bockingford 300gsm 140lb, Chinese hake, filbert brush, Chinese brush, sable hair brush, Windsor and Newton watercolours,
