I created this piece as an exploration of quiet strength, using bold colors to express the complexities that live behind the eyes. The face you see here isn’t about a specific person, but rather a feeling—a mixture of contemplation, resilience, and hope.
Using layers of acrylic paint and acrylic markers, I played with texture and vibrant contrasts to give the portrait a soulful, expressive energy. The brushstrokes are loose and spontaneous in the background, while the face is more focused, full of depth and detail.
Colors: Tan, green, black, blue, orange, yellow, purple, white
