This painting was inspired by some frozen puddles I saw during a very cold Winter's day. The shattered ice created some interesting patterns and in the painting it acts as a metaphor for the way we can be emotionally fractured but like ice we can melt and reassemble ourselves. It was painted with a palette knife which means it has quite a textured, raised surface
