This painting explores the dramatic shift of light as day surrenders to night in the Southwest desert. I was inspired by the way the setting sun casts a golden glow on the towering Saguaro, creating a rhythmic dance of light against a deep, atmospheric cobalt-purplish blue sky.
It is painted on oil-primed canvas, stretched on wooden bars, and wired from the back for an easy dsiplay.
