This piece started off as a black ink drawing in my sketchbook that I did whilst on Dartmoor. Love working from these simple sketches. It leaves me free to put my mark on the painting and creates a sense of place. Working in layers of paint ending up in an impasto layer gives this painting depth and space. Framed in a wood tray frame this piece is ready to hang.
