Original artwork description
This bright, high-chroma abstract was done largely “alla prima,” a “wet in wet” technique which creates lovely, blended nuances of color and form. The palette is primary, centered on a light-filled range of yellows and gold, all of which is balanced by notes of pink and splashes of blue. Many of us seek things in life that cannot satisfy and leave us empty. The sense of movement in this painting is meant to express a spiritual response to the words from Isaiah 55: 6-7, “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.” This 11" x 14" painting has been given a satin varnish for protection, and hanging hardware is already installed.
