Original artwork description
This is a fairly large acrylic painting of a female nude seated on a blue green drape. The colours are bright and dynamic. It is one of my newer works in which I seek to represent a disrupted view away from realism. It clearly shows the influence of a french contemporary artist I highly admire called Lou Ros. I have carefully mixed warm and cool colour combinations to capture this female nude in a more modern style. I have used combination of flatten shapes to suggest the model in places (such as the face) and have gone into more detail in other areas (such as the model’s right foot). This is a deliberate technique that is part of the distorted realism style of painting popular at the moment.
All my artworks come with a hand written certificate of authenticity.
