Seasons-1 (2017) Original Mixed-media Sculpture by Swapna Namboodiri

I would like to call it as a sculpture too. Since it has lots of textural details added using different plastic scraps. The painting is done inspired by the hot summer here in Qatar. Its done on plexiglass with solvent based paints. This work is also a part of my '#fortheplanet' series of artworks with recycled plastic bottles.
Project - 'For the planet' :
Recycled artworks I started doing since 2 years, after a pledge to work for a greener planet. All the collected plastic scraps with different textures are upcycled to get unique textures on my artworks. In each of this works, the texture is individually cut and painted from used plastic bottles. Its my way of saving our planet. So buying one of my original works from this series, you are not only supporting art but also supporting a good cause.
The painting is done on plexiglass and the texture is assembled on to it. The art will ve framed in a black box frame and will be ready to hang. It will be signed on front and certificate of authenticity will be attached.
