I was born and brought up in anstruther, a fishing village in fife, scotland.
Every august i exhibit over 50 paintings in a solo exhibition at the arts festival in the next village, pittenweem [now oneof the major events in the scottish art calendar]. many of these paintings are of the sea, which is in my blood.

i used payne's gray to capture the cold atmosphere of a wild scottish sea
