A change in the wind causes the sea to shimmer under a brooding sky in this oil painting on canvas panel. Contrasting passages of heavy impasto and more thinly applied paint create a captivating dynamic between the clouds and the water's surface.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness on a fine grain fully-archival canvas panel measuring 40cm by 40cm,which will fit many off-the-shelf frames.
