When I was invited to create a new painting on the theme 'A riveder le stelle’ (Seeing the stars again), I hesitated for a long time because I felt too tied to the famous context of origin of the quote. Translating it into my imagination, my thoughts went to the sensation you get when you re-emerge from the water, approaching the surface to be able to breathe again. Hope, wonder and light are the ingredients of this painting, which would also like to be a tribute to the infinite potential of something that begins: the dawn of a new day, the first step towards the realization of a dream, the lights that finally reveal the opening scene of a play never seen before.
