8 inches wide by 10 inches high on English handmade 100% cotton rag paper

What captured my eye was the soft way the feathers fades from pale to deep red at the tips.

In subtle shades of pink, orange and scarlet I built up layers of colour in fine veils...letting each dry before applying the other to really let each colour sing.

The surface of the paper has a slight tooth and that allowed me to get realistic texture of the feathers and beak especially.

A unique bird lover gift or addition to a tropical conservatory perhaps.

This is an original Scarlet Ibis watercolour on archival acid-free 100% cotton paper and is signed on the front.

I will package this original watercolour bird totally rigidly to protect it on its way to you.
