Original artwork description
This is a view of Buckbarrow Farm Barn looking back towards the sinister screes of Wast Water and Scafell Pike. We were following a path between dry stone walls, heading towards the very end of Wast Water to get a better view of the screes. It was a walk which had it all - lakes, mountains, woods, bridges, rivers, meadows and this large barn was simply stunning...nestled into the landscape which rose up around it. Foxgloves flanked the path and wild grasses and flowers were all around. On the far side of Wast Water the screes which drop almost vertically into England's deepest lake.
Scafell Pike rising up behind grey and iconic and for once free of cloud.
