Original artwork description:

In this artwork, I sought to capture the vibrant essence of a sunlit coastal retreat, where every brushstroke conveys the warmth of the sun and the serene flow of the ocean waves. Using oil paints, I employed a blend of impressionism and realism to illustrate not just the architecture but the spirit of this idyllic escape. This piece embodies tranquility and the timeless allure of seaside living, making it a source of continual inspiration and peace for any home.
The Soccorso church, a singular example of local architecture, stands in a particularly suggestive and scenographic position, on a promontory overlooking the sea which takes its name from Punta del Soccorso. The church is preceded by a characteristic parvis delimited by a double flight of piperno steps distributed in a semicircle and decorated with polychrome majolica tiles.
I chose a place to paint a sketch from nature, but very close to the road, so I was not comfortable enough to paint a sketch from nature, the cars passed very close. But I had no choice.
